congratulations!

You’ve just completed one of the most comprehensive defensive firearms programs ever developed for the Citizen Defender. Great work!

There is still more work to be done. As I explained in the first video of this training, we develop real defensive skill through small blocks of training over an extended period of time. Just 5 minutes a day is what it will take for you continue growing into a world class defender.

Know that Defender 101 and 201 will always be available for you to reference. At any time you need a refresher on the draw, deterrence, or reloads, you can go back to the Defender 101/201 Homepage and find the video you need, but now that you have built this base of skill, it’s time to take FULL ADVANTAGE of everything that the Defender University has to offer.

On the Defender University Main Navigation homepage, you can see these three buttons. These will now be your main sources of continued training. Let’s go through each one:

All of the Pre-Fight Situational Awareness classes, including the test, that you took in Defender 201 are here and in order.

At least once a month, pop into this area and watch one of the videos. Then go to the test and review your memorized skills.

Don’t neglect this important aspect of your training!

All of the Post Fight Actions classes, including the test, that you took in Defender 201 are here and in order as well.

Just like the Situational Awareness training, at least once a month, pop into this area and watch one of the videos. Then go to the test and review your memorized skills.

It will be here, in the Fight: Dry and Live Fire, where you will spend the majority of your time in the Defender University going forward.

Here you will get changing monthly content that you can practice at home in dry fire and take to the range to practice in live fire.

It is crucial that you understand how to make the most of this extremely valuable content.

Once you click on the Fight: Dry and Live Fire button, you will find these three options.

Dry Fire Training

When you enter this section, you will be given 6 options. Intro Dry Fire 1 and 2, and then 4 “Rotating” dry fire workouts.

Intro 1 and 2 will always be the same training. They are guides for new Defender University students to help them understand how to use the dry fire training workouts. The “Rotating” dry fire workouts will, as the name implies, rotate to new workouts every month! That means you will have a continuously changing and growing training experience, every month.

Each workout will have between 4-6 drills. Each outlined with setup, reps, and how to perform the drill.

As you scroll down the workout page, you will see that each drill has been broken out into an individual training module, with its own video directly associated.

To make the most of this, pick a drill, watch the video. Then using your SIRT or DryFire Mag and empty firearm, and practice. That it, that simple. Just five minutes a day.

Live Fire Training

When you enter this section, you will be given 6 options. Intro Shooting Fundamentals, Draw, and Immediate Actions, and then 3 “Rotating” live fire workouts specific to those skills.

Again, the Intro sessions will always be the same training. They are guides for new Defender University students to help them understand how to use the live fire training workouts. The “Rotating” live fire workouts will rotate to new workouts every month too! That translates to hundreds of drills every year.

Each workout will have between 4-6 drills. Each outlined with setup, reps, and how to perform the drill.

As you scroll down the workout page, you will see that each drill has been broken out into an individual training module, with its own video directly associated.

To make the most of these, watch the training before you go to the range. When you’re there, pull up Defender University on your mobile device, and open up the workout. You can rewatch the video, if needed, or use the set up guide for the drill to get ready and then run the drill. No more going to the range to blow ammo, you’re a well trained Citizen Defender, you can make the most of each range session.

Training Videos

In this last section, DMT’s library of drills and lectures are available for you. You can pick a Drill of the Week video to review and train. You can watch a lecture on Terrorism vs. Active Shooters. And you can view video reviews of gear and equipment.
